| Background | A friend brought this back from a recent trip to Singapore. The tea was harvested in the MengHai area. | |
| Dry Leaf Appearence: | Smallish loose leaf with silver tips | |
| Water to Leaf Ratio: | 7 gr of Leaf in 140 ml of water | |
| Brewing Method: | Gungfu in 150ml Yixing pot Rinsed tea with boiling water for a 20 seconds. Used 195f mountain spring water collected at the source. | |
| Wet Leaf Appearence: | Coarsely broken green leaf. | |
| 1st Steep | 20 seconds: Toasted oat, grass, just the tiniest bit of astringency | |
| 2nd Steep | 5 seconds: Dry, reedy, mildly astringent yet fairly smooth. | |
| 3rd Steep | 20 seconds: Smoother, less astringent, grassy | |
| 4th Steep | 60 seconds: Richer, smoother, hint of sweetness | |
| Subsequent Steeps | Got about 9 good steeps before it gave out | |
| Conclusion | This is a tea with great potential, while young it has enough of an edge that points to a decent aging potential. | |
