| Background | ||
| Dry Leaf Appearence: | ||
| Water to Leaf Ratio: | 8.5 gr of Leaf in 475 ml of water | |
| Brewing Method: | Aria Teapot, boiling water. Hard cake, used pliers to break off a chunk and it then crumbled easily by finger. | |
| Wet Leaf Appearence: | Reddish brown small leaves. Just a few stems. | |
| 1st Steep | Steeped 45 seconds. Woodsy, bamboo like flavor. Dry, tangy, and kind of reminds me of popsicle sticks. | |
| 2nd Steep | Steeped 60 seconds. Stronger but not as strong as the steep would have made you think. Cocoa like nuances rising to the top. | |
| 3rd Steep | Steeped 90 seconds. Dry and weak cocoa taste. Tea is getting kind of weak. I will probably use more leaf next time. | |
| 4th Steep | Didn’t bother with more steeps. | |
| Subsequent Steeps | Didn’t bother with more steeps. | |
| Conclusion | The flavor is good but weakish. Prior experience with this tea prompted me to start with longer steeps. After testing in my usual manner I would probably use more leaf next time. | |
